My Philosophy
Your special moments deserve to be told
Taking a picture is more than just a click of a camera. It’s capturing a moment in time. I remember my 8th grade English teacher explaining to me why he thought photographs were so captivating. He had a wall full of photos from students who had passed through his classroom over the years. He told me, “A photo is a still moment in time. It’s as if the world stops for that second, and you can look back at that second for as long as the photo exists.” Since then, I’ve looked at photographs in a completely different light. A picture really is a moment in time—a way of holding onto a season of our lives and revisiting it whenever we want. Whether it’s photos from your childhood, a fun vacation, an engagement, a wedding, the birth of a child, or a loved one who has passed away, looking at a photograph is almost always tied to a feeling. Most often, it’s joy. Nostalgia. Gratitude. Love. To me, that is the art of photography: remembering and creating memories. I’m passionate not only about taking a beautiful photo, but about capturing a feeling. I want you to be able to look back years from now and say, “Ahh… I remember that stage of my life.” Because life moves so quickly, but a photograph gives us the chance to make it stand still—even if only for a moment.

I'm Gaby!
For years, friends would ask me to take their milestone photos. I remember the first time my childhood friend asked me to take her family photos. I had no idea what I was doing, but I figured it out. After that, friends would randomly ask me to take their maternity photos or photos for special events.
I didn’t understand it then, but slowly, I was stepping into what I now consider a calling. Photography is more than just taking photos. It’s a sacred calling to preserve memories that last beyond our time on this earth. What a blessing it is to be a part of capturing these memories for people.
